Alchemist interview questions

It was a fairly smooth process and was well thought off and we'll planned interview. The panel was very punctual and started the interview right on time. The HR was really calm. The process was highly professional, overall the whole process was on point

There were 3 rounds of interview. - HR - Technical - Senior Authority. They took all 3 rounds in one day, for which I was completely fine with. But one weird thing happened to me there was the senior authority asked me, "What is the highest budget you have worked for the client?" I was being frank and I told the budget and suddenly the entire vibe of the room changed. Maybe they were expecting me to be worked on more budget. At the end of the interview, I was being told I was good but not fit for the job. I wanted to ask the exact reason but the interviewer was in a rush and I couldn't ask. I would request the hiring authority to be a little rational and analyze the candidate profile properly and then come to any conclusion.
