Applied on LinkedIn and got a technical review meeting scheduled without having any prior discussion with recruiters/HR. The interviewer was nice and asked me about my CV. He asked me to create a simple python/java method to reverse a string and he was "impressed" (it was a very easy task, to be honest). His English was terrible, really. We had to write in chat to get understanding of what he meant. I am not an English native speaker but I work in English everyday. He had to ask me to talk slower because he had a very low level of English. Passed the round. Had another call with, apparently, a VP. He asked me about my CV and past experiences. I felt like he wasn't listening because he was typing on his laptop and changing windows all the time (not taking notes about interview, it seems he was answering mails/messages too). Passed the round. Got a call from HR to ask about my expectations. Still nobody explaining me the role, the team or the product. Just high-level explanations. They felt reluctant to meet my expectations but we still decided to carry on with a final interview. On this last call, they (again) asked me about my CV and past experiences. On the last 2!!! minutes, HR asked me some behavioural questions and what did I expect from their company. I answered that I didn't know yet what the role was about, nor the project since nobody told me. They did a funny face when I talked about "work-life-balance" - I have to mention that there was LITERALLY a bed in the office, it was outside the meeting room and I could see it on the videoconference. It was scary. In the end, I got a Linkedin notification saying they discarded me. I messaged the recruiter to get feedback to improve, she didn't reply. I expected more from such a big company, the process was a hell. I don't recommend it, don't waste your time and save your work-life balance!
