They called and started the interview without warning or asking if it was a suitable time for an interview. The first question was "Why did you feel this job was a match for you?".
If you've applied to a minimum of 15 jobs, you won't remember what made this job 'special' without a change to review the job listing. The interviewer offered to call back 4 hours later.
In this call back, the interviewer interrupted me any time I tried to ask a question, and I was not able to get any answers. They are very vague as to what the position entails other than sending out surveys and getting $250 on each successful referral, which they claim amounts to 10% of the surveys you send out. They claim that they do not provide leads, but when you ask how you obtain clients to provide surveys to, they vaguely tell you everything is in the training.
The job was to send out surveys for solar panels, yet the representative had nothing to say about renewable energy or the benefits of solar energy other than to say "your mission is not to sell anything, its to save people money". This job is a scam with a capital S.
I answered that I felt this job would be a correct fit for me given my interest in renewable, planet-friendly energy sources, and the interviewer hung up in the middle of my explanation because I mentioned that I was a little off-put by how he was advertising a position selling solar panels, but was emphasizing a 'altruistic' focus on "saving people money"
Scam with a CAPITAL S, run.
