I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at AllOptions (Amsterdam) in Jul 2019
Interview
I found the job description online and it sounds cool to me so I applied for it.
There are many little things to like about this company's hiring process. For example, in the page that you filled the initial information to apply for the job, the cover letter is mandatory, to me it means company actually interested in knowing why you want this job at the very beginning.
After I submitted my application, the response was very fast (two days if I remember correctly) and they invited me for a remote technical interview (I don't live in Amsterdam). This is one other thing that I actually liked, most companies start with personal interviews or online tests.
After the first interview they were very fast in response once again, I got the result in 2-3 hours after interview and they invited me to the second stage that was more in-action technical.
In this stage, they first called me and explained that they will send me an exercise, I have 15 minutes to read it, then they'll call and I can ask if I have any questions about it, then I have 90 minutes to solve the problem. To me, it's the best way to see your future potential employee in action, I mean in actual workplace you hand over the task and make it clear what you want, not just a soulless online task with predefined scoring method.
After you finish the task, two of their developers start asking you questions about your solution. In every stage you are dealing with very smart people so it's nearly impossible to pretend to be something you're not. Again they were very fast in response and again I got the result the same day.
After that, they'll invite you to a non-technical interview, now they'll ask you more personal questions, you'll get the result pretty fast again.
IMHO if this company is as direct and fast in it's daily business acts, it's a great place to work for a software developer.
