I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Allegiant Air (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in Jul 2016
Interview
Very relaxed interview, everyone was very friendly and welcoming. They started out by giving everyone a number. Then after that there is a brief presentation about the company and then the position and what to expect being a flight attendant. Then the large group is split into two smaller group of about 10 people to each group. At this point you start the group interview. Each person starts by standing, saying and spelling their name and which base they prefer. After that you have to say the memorized preflight announcement. After each person you have a partner that you will have to answer two situational questions. This is to demonstrate how you work with others. There are 4 questions total during the group interview, two questions with your partner and two questions you answer alone. After the group interview the smaller groups are merged back into one big group and then you are all dismissed into the waiting area. After about 10 minutes they call certain numbers back into the room. If your number was not called then you have passed the group interview and you proceed onto the one-on-one f2f interviews. The one-on-one you are asked 5 situational questions (use STAR format). After the group interviews it's pretty easy and you won't be as nervous. If they like you they will send you an invitation to training.

Question 1
Describe a time you had to handle a difficult customer. What was the situation? How did you handle it, and what was the outcome?
My interview experience with Allegiant was notably casual and laid-back. Unlike traditional, conservative airlines, Allegiant maintains a relaxed and adaptable environment. I observed that several candidates had previously been unsuccessful in their applications to major airlines. Regrettably, some attendees were unprepared, poorly dressed, and displayed inadequate grooming; some also used coarse language. This was disheartening, and I was eager to depart. If you are looking for a conventional, sophisticated flight attendant role, Allegiant may not be the ideal choice.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Allegiant Air (Allentown, PA) in Oct 2024
Interview
Interview consisted of a group information session about the job, pay, ect. After that we were spilt into smaller groups and we answered a question, recited the announcement they gave up to memorize prior to the interview, and then we completed a group activity. After that those who got to the 1-on-1 interview stage sat in the jumpseat to make sure we could buckle in, and then interviewed with one of the recruiters.
