I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Allegiant Air (Long Beach, CA) in Aug 2016
Interview
I filled out an application on the website received an email to do a video interview. I passed the video interview and was sent an email to do an in person interview. The link I was sent didn't work because all the interview spots were filled. So I had to wait weeks for another interview opportunity with spaces available. I got an email about an upcoming interview session in Long Beach that had available spots with instructions of a mandatory announcement e needed to memorize and recite verbatim so I attended. It was many applicants there and the Inflight HR department started talking to us about the company and the job responsibilities. We were split up into two groups. When you walk in and take a seat and there is a number under the seat. There were two or three interviewers sitting at the head table with pen and paper writing down your responses. After the group interview, the interviewers get together and decide who moves forward. The head of HR called out names and we all went into the room he thanked us for our time and told us we wouldn't be moving forward.I will say many of the HR team was not very friendly or welcoming. I also noticed that the people who moved forward to the one on one interview all were young skinny applicants. I was shocked being a flight attendant previously and some of the responses that they gave to the questions should not have moved forward and some of the people who moved forward did not recite the mandatory announcement in the group interview correctly.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1.If a passenger needed to take their medication but it was time to close up the cabin for take-off how would you handle the customer?
2.Name a time you made a mistake on the job and how did you handle it and what was the outcome?
My interview experience with Allegiant was notably casual and laid-back. Unlike traditional, conservative airlines, Allegiant maintains a relaxed and adaptable environment. I observed that several candidates had previously been unsuccessful in their applications to major airlines. Regrettably, some attendees were unprepared, poorly dressed, and displayed inadequate grooming; some also used coarse language. This was disheartening, and I was eager to depart. If you are looking for a conventional, sophisticated flight attendant role, Allegiant may not be the ideal choice.
I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Allegiant Air (Allentown, PA) in Oct 2024
Interview
Interview consisted of a group information session about the job, pay, ect. After that we were spilt into smaller groups and we answered a question, recited the announcement they gave up to memorize prior to the interview, and then we completed a group activity. After that those who got to the 1-on-1 interview stage sat in the jumpseat to make sure we could buckle in, and then interviewed with one of the recruiters.
