I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Alliance Hemp (Miami, FL) in Mar 2022
Interview
The first interview was a typical interview although the meeting was cut short because the Manager was using a free version of zoom which had a time limit. That was my first red flag. The role is presented as a job where you can earn 6 figures in the first year. After hearing more about the job it was exciting until I learned about the compensation. This is strictly a 1099 role so the employee is a contractor, they typically offer a very low rate of pay for the first few months while you build a territory. I misunderstood the temporary stipend, i thought it was a weekly stipend but learned that it was a monthly stipend at the second interview. They expect $13 an hour of pay to be sufficient to start and grow a territory of over 500 miles with a small commission structure. Aside from the low pay, the second interview had another red flag as the manager had to take a phone call and cut me off during my presentation which was very unprofessional. I cannot believe they expect someone to make less than $20 per hour and manage a territory while offering no compensation or reimbursement for travel. This is a JOKE! I don't know what makes me more upset, the company or the fact that Ziprecruiter suggested this "job" to me.
