I applied online through Glassdoor and was invited to a teams meeting with two of the analysts working at the company. Upon entering the meeting, I was told that one of the analysts couldn't make it for reasons unknown. Having being my first interview I was nervous and a little ill-prepared. What made things worse though was while I was answering the interviewer's questions, he'd rudely not listen and instead just be scrolling through his phone which worsened my confidence and morale. He also patronisingly told me that he doesn't see how my skills and experience written on my CV is sufficient for the position - which if that's the case then why on Earth did HR bother putting my application through? I then tried to lighten the mood and ask further questions about the role which the interviewer kind of dismissed or gave poor answers which immediately made me understand that he wasn't going to put my application through to the next round - unsuprisingly. Overall, a horrible interview process.
