Applied online, email to come in for an interview. Arrived 10-15 minutes early... Sat and waited in the lobby 20 minutes past the start of the interview. When the interview did finally start, he knew absolutely nothing about me except for my first name that I had provided. He walked out of the interview 3-4 times to chat with other people in the hallway, and while I was answering his questions he was just playing on his phone. Edwin, put your damn phone down and be respectful of people applying to your company.
I asked about a currently posted supervisor role, site manager, and account manager roles. I was told my 17 years of experience, 14 in security and 8 in management were not enough for those roles... Apparently being prior Military Police, Police Officer, Security Director, and Security Manager are not enough for Allied. When asked he finally explained the $1,000 hire bonus was also only for those currently certified for armed security, which was not stated any where in their announcement.
I was offered the Armed Security role; however quickly declined after the 6 month agreement to stay with them or pay the $1,500 “training fee” they demanded, despite me already having 90% of the certifications (and am an instructor for most of them). Asking me to pay back $1,500 of their expense for basic stuff (PATH, MOAB, CPR/AED, First Aid, etc.)
Horribly unprofessional experience and sly business practices.
