I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Allied Universal (Kansas City, MO) in Apr 2019
Interview
Fairly straightforward. I was asked about previous employment, education, etc. Asked a few questions of the interviewer, got some responses. Most were fairly helpful. Rather than ask me what shift I would like, the interviewer immediately suggested night shifts (given my previous experience on them in a different job). I said these weren't what I was looking for, and he said something along the lines of "Well, that's not going to happen, all my day shifts are full." That struck me as odd, given that I had applied specifically to morning/day shift positions. I let it go. After the interview, I was directed to a terminal to begin the background check. I completed it and was told they'd call me.
Regularly during the interview the interviewer was answering phone calls and text messages.
Got a call back later in the day; background check went through. I mentioned I was hesitant to accept the job (I had not accepted the job, and no paper work indicated I had accepted the job) and really didn't think the job was a good fit for me at this time. I apologized and declined, saying I'd remember Allied in the future, and was promptly told "Don't remember us."
I'm glad I didn't accept this position.

Question 1
Where do I live? Do you actually know what our company does?
Very easy. Personal experience was that they sat me down, talked about the job, and it was pretty in and out. From there, I had a secondary sit-down with the supervisor at the office I was assigned, we finalized some things, got a permanent job site assigned near home, and that was it.

Question 1
I remember them asking about my experience at my previous job, why I left, etc
I received an email asking me to come to an interview. Afterwards, I took the interview and had to do multiple screenings and certificate checks. They are particular about making sure you have all the necessary licenses. If you do not have a specific license, you will go through additional training before starting your job.
