I received an email from a recruitment consultant
I sent my profile
it got shortlisted
I was asked to take an interview, I was asked to report at 10 AM
there were about 30-40 people for the same purpose
I handed over the hard copy of my profile and was asked to wait in the lobby, and then asked to go to a boardroom.
I waited for nearly an hour before being called.
A technical guy came and took me to a room
He asked typical questions on testing such as
a. what inputs are needed for a test plan
b. What kind of database testing have you done
c. How good are you at SQL queries
d. Why do you need to do database testing
e. What are things that come to your mind when you test client server or web applications
f. How would you deal with a situation, wherein you raise a defect, and it gets rejected because your lead says its a feature. The bug gets closed, and after a few weeks the customer sees this and says this was a defect.
g. What is a test life cycle
h. What are the different sdlc's that you are aware of
i. How many years of c/s testing and how many in web based testing
All in all the interviewer seemed to be a very polite and an unassuming gentleman
