Prolonged process over several months with minimal proactive communication on status and timelines. The initial interview outlined which team members I’d be meeting with and were scheduled in a reasonable timeframe. Everyone was kind, and spent most of the their time selling me the role and giving a lot of positive feedback on how I’d be a great fit. At the end of what I was told would be the last interview with the CMO it seemed on the fly suggested that I meet with the CEO. After that interview, I didn’t hear back from them. There was no proactive communication for several months until finally one day I get a call stating they now wanted to do a behavioral panel interview with the same team I had already met as one last step. Why create more hurdles and barriers? During the panel interview, I was given people management scenarios and was barely asked any follow up questions to my responses. A few days later I get a voicemail that they decided to go with another candidate and provided zero feedback on areas for improvement even when I reached out to ask. It seemed that the entire process was being made up as they went along with no clear rubric or idea of what they were looking for. This was by far the worst interview experience I’ve encountered in my career. I hesitated to even write this review but I am doing so with the hopes the team at Alpha takes the time to do a review of their interviewing process and candidate experience.
