Started talking to the hiring manager through email and scheduled a phone interview first where the process of interviewing was described, and the job description. Had a very pleasant conversation and was very quickly fast-tracked to an in person interview a few weeks later.
I arrived and was very quickly met with to start the interview. Followed with basic introductions and questions to see if the job was a good fit. Met with the hiring manager, CEO, and the production team. Each interview had a different tone, going from expectations, to talking about previous experience, to discussing company culture. There was also an aptitude test given with no warning.
After meeting each person, I was offered a tour of the building and was seen out the door by the CEO. Overall it was a very pleasant experience.
The weeks followed are what was puzzling, they insisted they would reach out to me very soon. I touched base via email to check in to see if the offer was still in play and they insisted they would still get back to me. I was never given a definitive answer. I expected at least some sort of courtesy with the grace that was given during the rest of the interview process, but it seems like they don't value prospect's time or effort.
