I’m late to share this, but running my own interviews today reminded me of how mortified I felt during their interview process. It was, without a doubt, the most unprofessional and disrespectful experience I’ve had in 10 years.
I went through four rounds of 1:1 interviews and delivered a 60-minute presentation, including two competitive analyses. The team’s energy was cold, elitist, and far from welcoming. They made CSM/PS work seem impossibly hard—maybe it is for them, but honestly, it’s always come naturally to me. I remember thinking, “It’s not that deep, guys.”
The final straw? My last 1:1 interview. The interviewer was as dry as a saltine and blatantly unprofessional. She even said, “You’re all over the place,” referring to my resume—which, by the way, included five years at one company and two solid roles after that. I was so stunned I just laughed, eager to end the call and stop wasting my time.
Meanwhile, I was interviewing at a FinTech company in a stronger position than AlphaSense. That team was warm, professional, and thoughtful—a stark contrast that spoke volumes.
