Not too hard. Helped having good people interviewing me. Asked the basic STAR method questions and there was no follow up interview but got the job. Took a long time to get back to me after initially applying though.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at Ameren in Mar 2021
Interview
There was a phone interview roughly two weeks after my application covering basic information about myself. Next, a Microsoft team’s interview occurred with a panel of three people. One interviewer was the manager directly overseeing the position and the other two were managers for different locations. They asked 1-2 behavioral (STAR) questions each and then asked one technical question at the end. The technical question was regarding how electricity is produced and distributed to homes. There was a significant time gap between the phone interview and job offer so don’t worry if you don’t hear anything for extended periods of time.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Describe how electricity is produced and distributed to residential homes.
I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Ameren (Saint Louis, MO) in Feb 2020
Interview
Very relaxed questioning and very conversational. Follows the STAR interview system. Asked a couple of "technical" questions but since it was an associate role the questions were relatively basic. Overall a good experience.
