I received a phone call from a recruiter stating that he found my resume online. He asked if I was still looking for employment. I answered "Yes, but not a Sales position." The recruiter then informed me that most of the positions they have available are Sales positions, but there was a Marketing Coordinator position that was available. He then went on to describe the position which involved getting out information on abused children. I told the recruiter that this sounded as a wonderful opportunity and he then set up an interview for the next day. When I got to the interview, I was placed in a room with about 15 other applicants. We were all asked to fill out a questionaire. Then listened to a 45 minute pitch on selling Life Insurance to people in their homes! I felt like I was completely lied to and the whole interview process was a waste of my time, especially since I said that I was not interested in Sales. After the interview, I spoke with another applicant and she had a similar experience.
