I applied online. I interviewed at American Specialty Health (San Diego, CA) in Jun 2026
Interview
2 separate interviews. One phone screen with Ivana who is non-technical but asks you a series of technical questions, and then a panel interview with one app-dev manager, and one other senior manager from another team (because he spoke better english). I was asked about my experience and a series of other c#/sql/entity framework + other basic object oriented questions. I did have one instance of the interviewer not understanding one of the features that was implemented in c# 8.0 where interfaces can have default implementations. I was ghosted by the company with no rejection or follow up.

Question 1
What is the difference between an abstract class and interfaces. When would you reach for each - give an example from your previous employment. Can interfaces in c# have default methods?
The in person structure:
Whiteboard questions, then a 1 on one with a manager, then group interview with stakeholders. Finally. One last one on one with the recruiter that's more of a personality interview.
