Interview mostly was asking about all the technologies I knew and my background. I felt, however, a bit deceived into coming to interview here because they acted as if they were wanting a developer skilled with modern .Net development, distributed system architecture and cloud development. However, when I got there it seemed like the manager was more interested in having someone who could do that, but started discussing how there was a big need to maintain old ASP 3.x applications and other old legacy products like ASP.Net WebForms. Despite not really being the job description, it seemed to me they wanted a highly skilled engineer who would still be spending most of their time maintaining old legacy applications. Despite, my telling them that I would work mainly on the modern stack and could help migrate older applications, it seemed a bit bait-and-switch when I got there. I felt deceived into coming to this interview and was a waste of time. Manager told recruiter that he needed someone who could do legacy development, so I have no clue why he dragged me to this interview (like 90 min drive). Perhaps, he was interested to just see what is available on the market?
