      Store Manager Interview

      10 Mar 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      London, England
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Amorino (London, England) in Jan 2022

      Interview

The whole thing was bizarre. I arrived fairly early which seemed to throw them off but I was offered a coffee albeit in an awkward manner, however it was appreciated nonetheless. The interviewers had no warmth and came across uninterested and frankly, uptight. Like they had already made their minds up before I even walked in. I thought the interview itself went fine, I answered their questions well enough and asked a few of my own. They did not impress me, they made it sound like they have little interest in creating a good experience for a customer nor maintaining a healthy work environment for their employees. After I left I tried to chase them up for a response to my application as I have not yet received a yes or a no. They seem so far reluctant to give me either so I am not holding out hope. All I got in the end was a response to say my application was on hold because they “hired too many managers” but they are still advertising store manager vacancies. Judging from some other testimonies from employees on websites such as this one, I probably dodged a bullet. Unprofessional.
