DON’T WASTE YOUR TIME with this company like I almost did. I believe this is just a ghost job to get a high volume of applicants then they reject you at a certain stage of the interview process. I applied for a writer job, put the word “banana” in my paragraph like they instructed and a couple of hours later, I received an email to take a super easy grammar test. I mean super easy like a 3rd grader can take it. After the grammar test, which I know for a fact that I passed, I was rejected and they claimed it’s because they have a high volume of applicants blah blah blah. From reading the other interview reviews, this seems to be the case for other applicants as well.

Question 1
Grammar test was super easy. They have sentences that have blanks and the answers are multiple choice. It’s just fill in the blank.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at AmpiFire
Interview
First, I had to submit why I wanted to work in a brief paragraph and include the word “banana” in the submission. After passing that portion, they sent a short English test with questions on basic grammar. Upon completion, they sent long instructions on how to complete a writing assignment. The good news is that this process is very quick since the hiring team is very speedy with their responses. The bad news is that it seems unlikely that people will get hired unless they provide EXACTLY what the company needs. This makes sense, and the company has the opportunity to be selective with their new hires because they have an abundance of applicants. The downside is that many applicants (including myself) have wasted hours on a time-consuming writing assignment just to be rejected. The company does not explain why the application was rejected and insists their workers are too busy to discuss with any failed applicants. Even a follow up email results in ghosting. I highly suggest that people be careful when applying. If you do not have the time for a writing assignment, do not waste your time. If you are not serious about this position, don’t waste the company’s time and ruin it for other serious applicants either.
The company point of contact I dealt with gave me a writing assignment where I needed to write a press release about some random blog that the author of it abandoned years ago, and they made fun of it. In the same message, they also belittled other job seekers with limited English proficiency, who applied for the role believing they had something to offer. They quoted a pay rate of 12 dollars per piece, and demanded nothing less than perfect, per their contradictory 50-ish page style guide full of mistakes. I never completed the press release, and withdrew my application after the way they talked about those job seekers who didn't speak or write English at a native level.
