      Web Developer Interview

      22 May 2016
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Agoura Hills, CA
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Amplio (Agoura Hills, CA) in Dec 2014

      Interview

I applied online via an ad a recruiter posted. I went in for an interview and the people I met with asked interview questions that actually matter and not just memorization questions I can google in 2 seconds which I liked. They showed me examples of work and asked how I would tackle specific problems. They ended up liking me and they approved me from their side, but unfortunately there is an outsource dev team in India that I had to get an approval from as well. That interview didn't go so well, their accents were very difficult to understand and I was confused with many of their questions. Another thing, they were asking the questions that don't mean anything (ex. What is the name of the function that does this...), something anyone with zero experience can google and solve in under 10 seconds. They also used outdated jQuery libraries and actually didn't like that I used the latest version and didn't have experience using outdated libraries. It's a shame because I liked the team here in US, but I could tell that outsource team was going to be an issue.

      Question 1

What is one of the best things about you when it comes to being a developer? And what is the worst?
