I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Amwell in Jul 2023
Interview
I interviewed first with the recruiter, then with the hiring manager. After a month of not hearing an update, I reached out to the hiring manager who notified me that the position was offered to another candidate. Despite having this knowledge, the recruiter failed to notify me. If this were an isolated incident, I could have overlooked it, but this happened three times with Amwell Talent Acquisition.

Interview
The interview process was very straight forward. It moved pretty quickly and within a few weeks I had a very fair offer for the position and my qualifications. They did a good job at determining my previous experience with open career options.

Interview
Over the course of four interview rounds interviewed with a total of 11 people and had give a presentation. Overall the people I spoke with were professional and enthusiastic about their work which was really refreshing to experience.
However, they really need to streamline their interview process. Four interview rounds with 11 people and a presentation for this type of position is excessive.
Unfortunately, there were a couple of instances of more senior staff making some ageist comments directed towards me which I did not appreciate. The HR rep also failed to follow-up with me several times (e.g., "I'll call you at 4pm with an update," but no call). While I enjoyed meeting with several members of the team, the ageist comments, lack of professionalism from HR, and lengthy interview process means I'll think twice about applying here again.
