I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Anglian Water Group (Huntingdon, England) in Sept 2019
Interview
Applied online, and was invited to an interview. I had to complete an online personality quiz which looked into preferences on working alone/team, confidence, drive to succeed, and working with the public. First stage involved two staff and myself. The questions were simple and the staff were interested in hearing more about the relevant experience I spoke about. It lasted approximately 1 hour and I received their decision within 1 week.
The second stage interview process was a group exercise, it lasted 3 hours. Seven prospective employees were attending. First we were introduced to a group of staff, then ate lunch together, and then completed a 20-minute group exercise while the staff observed silently. The task was to discuss what items to save from a plane crash, and the feedback highlighted our ability to work as a team, allowing each person to speak and voice their opinions, presenting intelligent reasoning for decisions made, and effectively coming to a compromise on items that were disagreed on. After this, there was a tour of the facility, and I received their decision within 1 week.
