The actual interview experience was positive, the people were warm and friendly, they asked relevant questions to the job role. However the part I did find disappointing was that I sent a thank you email after the interview, then a follow up email a week later after not hearing anything. I never heard from them again. I took time to do two interviews that I prepared for, including opting to drive 1 hour to do the interview, while other canidates selected to complete it via Teams. I understand recruitment is busy, however candidate experience should be considered. Especially when communication was highlighted as a core part of the role. Clear communication helps ensure applicants leave with a positive impression of the organisation and its values.
