3 interviews:
- Phone screening (around 1h 20)
- Face to face interview with department lead (+1h)
- Face to face interview with Director: less than 30 minutes, just shooting questions related to my current role which has nothing to do with the one I am applying for, not only for the content but the processes in place are just the opposite of what he was looking for. He was looking for me to say I would move Heaven and Earth to make things happen, and normally I would, but that is not the process established in my current role.
I did not feel comfortable until the last 5 minutes when he asked about me, my values, etc, but then he just cut the meeting abruptly and made me go.
I had great feedback from the 2 first interviews: great fit for the role, motivated, dynamic.
But the Director decided that I had "not enough experience".
Really? Before dismissing someone who 2 prior interviewers call "a great fit" spend at least 1h with them and let them explain.
