The communication around my interview occurred in the district's candidate portal. I was invited for an interview and told to prepare a presentation that covered topics related to the position for which I was interviewing. I was directed to put my presentation on a thumb drive and also bring several printed copies for the panel.
The interview itself was highly formal - questions were given to me on a piece of paper and then a round robin style interview was conducted. I had a set amount of time to share my presentation, and a set amount of time to answer the questions. The overall mood in the interview was formal and rather uptight. All members of the interview panel came across as very serious and lacking in warmth. There were not many smiles and not much friendliness, even though (since getting the job), I know most of those on the panel are quite warm and make for friendly colleagues.
After my interview, I was told the desire was to fill the position quickly and I should expect to hear something in a few days.
