I applied through university. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Ansys (Pittsburgh, PA)
Interview
I had two phone calls and an onsite scheduled. At the time of the onsite, Ansys was transitioning to a new office and I was unaware of this. I went to their old location and because of this they would not reschedule. It was my mistake but it's a shame they were unforgiving. I interned at a top large company on the West Coast instead and was much better paid, housed, and spoiled. I was hoping to stay in Pittsburgh that summer but it's Ansys' loss.
Three rounds in total
First one was a written test with combined focus on physics, machine learning and coding concepts. It was an elimination round.
The second round was an interview fully on machine learning as the role was for machine learning.Asked me about the test and why I went wrong in certain questions.
Third round was HR round with some common physics problems.
The interview process was great! It was very informative, helpful, and insightful for the position. Additionally, they offered great insight into the position and the interviewer asked pertinent questions as well.
Phone call, then email interview confirmation. With hr manager, then technical manager. Data structure, algorithm, python, sql . You need to using python write code. Every interview takes an hour.
