I applied to Anywhereworks via a recruiter and had a short phone screen with her before having separate video interviews with HR, marketing and the CEO. I also had to complete a short task.
The interview process itself was positive and at each stage I was asked insightful questions and I felt the interviewers looked beyond skills into qualities and values.
The problems came when I was offered the job. My offer was sent just before Christmas and there were some terms in the contract that are significantly below industry standard for this kind of role and company. For those in the UK these were namely no sick pay, having to provide my own computer, legal minimum annual leave, an asymmetrical notice period (4 weeks for the employee and 1 week for the employer up to 2 years of service). I queried these terms and was ignored by HR so the recruiter stepped in. Anywhereworks left me waiting over Christmas and refused to change any of the terms.
If this is important to you, I would suggest checking early on in the interview process.
