Poor Interview Process - Unprofessional Recruitment Experience with a VP level recruiter in HCM department
I applied for a Senior Associate role and had an extremely disappointing experience with the recruitment process.
After initially expressing interest, the recruiter scheduled a phone interview. We confirmed this appointment multiple times via email, including exchange of phone numbers. I cleared my schedule and prepared for the call, and sending a follow-up to double check the call 15 mins before we are suppose to start.
Instead of the scheduled interview, I received an unprofessional and irrogent email ad reply to my follow up, the recruiter claimed they "never confirmed" the call, the reply suprised me a lot with expression like "Ah I don’t believe I ever confirmed the below call" despite having multiple email confirmations in writing.
The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was surprising for a firm of this caliber. At minimum, candidates deserve honest communication and respect for their time instead of micro aggresive and gaslighting.
Applied online then scheduled a calls for: Recruiter phone screen, zoom call with managing director, 3 zoom calls with team in that order. Still in interview process unsure what's next. Relatively straightforward
