I applied online. I interviewed at Arm (Cambridge, England) in Dec 2016
Interview
I applied online and was invited for an interview onsite at their Cambridge HQ.
Once at the HQ we were introduced to the company through a small presentation with the leader of the Demo Team and the current interns.
Then we had a question paper with programming questions and general computer science questions. Such as spotting the problem with some code and suggesting better ways to write a loop.
After that there was a programming test where we were given an Android application and tasked to make it perform better.
After lunch there we had a task to design a device that would improve people's lives. Like an IOT device, we had to show how it would work, what it would look like, software it would use etc.
Then finally there was an interview which was casual and relaxed and went over the question paper we did earlier to get more better answers and to see if you had the knowledge. It was nice because if you made a mistake on the paper and had thought about it throughout the day, you had a chance to prove that you knew the answer to them. You could also try and justify a different answer to what they expected.

Thank you for your review and for interviewing at ARM. I am glad to hear you had such a good candidate experience, and am especially happy to hear that you enjoyed the interview. ARM are always striving to improve our recruitment process, and it is nice to be reassured that we are providing a positive candidate experience. -Yvette s.
