I made it to 2 steps. Step 1 was a basic screening call with the HR lead of the company. The questions were pretty straightforward - expected salary, visa sponsorship, and prior experience. Step 2 was a virtual interview with the direct reporting person and the department head. While the direct report was pretty nice, interviewing with the department head was tough. The latter was rude and late - did not care about the interview. They asked me a few basic questions about my technical experience and skills. Then I was ghosted. Since I liked the company and the direct report, I followed up with HR. She said that the hiring for the position had been postponed indefinitely. Here's the worst part though: Guess what position was advertised on LinkedIn literally just 2 days later? If you don't have the guts to tell interviewees the truth, then really, what kind of "Human Resource Management" did you really learn?
