      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      16 May 2015
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Articulate Global (New York, NY) in May 2014

      Interview

I spoke on the phone for 30 minutes with someone from Articulate(I believe a developer). I'm an experienced developer and was a team lead on specialty software for major companies in the past. Asked one technical question (which I believe I got right) and then asked about my background. I asked questions about the company and product, maybe I should have studied the product more, but there isn't too much material online about it. I don't think this company looks for the latest and greatest features in .net or C#. They seem conservative. Their app is mostly Windows Forms and XML. No databases and minimal mobile and web(HTML 5). It seems like a good company but their product isn't the most exiting on the planet. The interview seemed to go OK, and the interviewer discussed in detail the next steps they take. Shortly afterwards I was told by email I'm not a perfect match for the company. I was not given a chance to show my coding expertise. Seemed fickle, like a first date, you don't really know what you said that makes you not get a second. I would have much rather get rejected for not passing a technical test. Can't really say anything good or bad about them.

      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      3 Oct 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Articulate Global in Oct 2025

      Interview

Interview was a Zoom audio only call with one of the worst recruiters I've ever spoken with. I received no intro to the company or the position as is the usual. Instead she dived right into what my salary expectations were, if I have any other opportunities and what stage was I in, and then a bunch of questions that made it clear she had not looked at my resume at all. She told me that she'd pass on her notes to the hiring manager and then let me know if they would proceed or not. What notes? She barely gleaned anything that wasn't already on my resume. For example, how many years of experience do I have. I felt like she was bored and wasn't actually listening to any of my responses. Then, next day I receive a thanks but no thanks email. I am assuming that this interview was just a formality and that there was just a quota needing to be filled. Waste of my time.

      Senior Software Engineer Interview

      25 Jul 2024
      Anonymous employee
      Pittsburgh, PA
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Articulate Global (Pittsburgh, PA) in Apr 2024

      Interview

Four-part interview including a phone call, multiple Zoom interviews, with live coding exercises, take-home project, and more. I didn't have much experience in their particular stack, so some of the work required a lot of on-the-fly learning. Everyone was pleasant to chat with and prompt to respond. No one was late to any meetings and the recruiter communicated very well.
