      Protein Scientist Interview

      3 Oct 2019
      Anonymous employee
      Cambridge, England
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience

      Application

I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Avacta (Cambridge, England) in Feb 2019

      Interview

I received the interview offer through a recruiting agency. It was a bit frustrating as the agent was the go between and I am sure he has many clients. It was a 2 stage interview, the first involved a phone interview with the hiring manager which was mostly about the skills and experiences as written in my CV. It took 2 weeks to find out the result of the phone interview in this case as recruiters take time to get back to you. I was invited for a site interview where my technical knowledge and demeanour was accessed by my hiring manager and the group members. It took another 2 weeks to find out that I was offered the job, and another 3 weeks to start the job.
