Interview
I was contacted via email and and went in for a brief one on one interview with the "CEO" of the company. The interview lasted maybe 10 minutes, and I was asked maybe one real interview question. I was then invited back later for a second round interview the next morning. I arrived at the office and lots of other people were there. We were then paired off with some of their top performing employees. We drove to a Best Buy, and it turns out the work they do for their Fortune 500 clients includes walking around an empty Best Buy trying to sell people xfinity packages. I spent almost the full two hours writing down answers to the simplest questions about marketing. She explained to me that the hours would be 8-7 Monday though Saturday and most people also worked on Sunday. I think this is due to people not making enough money during the week. If you want to spend seven days a week at an "event" at a Best Buy in Aurora, this is job for you. If you want any sort of work to life balance, I would not recommend this position.
Thanks for coming in for an interview, and for the feedback. Our first interview is just a short informal meeting to explain the details of the position. We do this so that we do not waste any time training candidates who are uninterested in sales roles. We're sorry that the position wasn't for you, and wish you success in your job search.
