      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

      I interviewed at Aviva Canada

      Interview

There was a big emphasis on whether you could talk/hold a conversation. No technical questions, just hypotheticals/behaviourals that required some quick thinking. Interviewer was friendly and seemed to wish to support the candidate. They were also curious about career goals.

      Question 1

      - Introduce yourself - What do you know about Aviva - A hypothetical about pricing tickets for a golfing competition - What made you apply (since I was switching from data analyst) - What are your career goals (are you exploring this field or are you locked in)? - Describe a concept you learned on a recent actuarial exam

      Application

I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Aviva Canada (Scarborough, ON) in Feb 2017

      Interview

Hiring process took 2 weeks. Applied through campus career network. One on one interview with hiring manager. Hiring manager simply went through my resume and transcript. Bits of technical questions were asked, but I understood the material pretty well to explain it. I didn't get an offer but it was a pleasant experience.
