I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Avondale Partners (Nashville, TN) in Aug 2014
Interview
I applied online. I week later I received an email about setting up an interview. The head of research called me a few days later to talk. Asked me basic excel questions and questions about my hours and availability. A few days later I went in to the office and talked with a senior analyst. Basic fit questions. Received the offer right then and there.
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Avondale Partners (Nashville, TN) in Jan 2017
Interview
It was your standard informational interview, they were trying to get a feel for character and fit. No technical questions. They will mostly want you to model with excel. I met with three upper level employees and had a 30 minute interview with each.
I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Avondale Partners (Nashville, TN) in Nov 2012
Interview
The internship coordination was quick and brief. I expected a bunch of financial sheet questions in the interview, however, they mainly talked about the hours I could work over the winter break. The head of research is very nice and keeps her door open.
Working with the Associate and Senior Analysts was well worth the commute and lack of pay. I learned more practical-analytical skills in the month there than in the previous semester I just completed at the University of Tennessee.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There were no difficult questions. Just more questions about your interest in the field. The internship can be a mini mentorship program if you ask the right questions.
