I interviewed with this company a long time ago, but Iâll never forget how unprofessional they were. I met recruiters from this company at a hiring day event and subsequently sent an email to express interest. The recruiters invited me to a coding screen. Both the interviewers and I had connection issues, so the interview wasnât great. Afterward, the interviewer sent me a take-home HTML/CSS assignment (yes, just HTML and CSS, because this wasnât a real engineering role apparently). Over a week later, the interviewer sent me this dumb email:
âThank you for your interest in Axiom Zen, and taking the time to meet with us over the past weeks. We have carefully reviewed your background and experience and will not be moving forward with your application at this time.
âWe will keep your profile active in our system and will reach out directly when presented with a well-suited opportunity.
âThank you again for your interest in our unique company. We hope you will remain enthusiastic about Axiom Zen and we wish you every success in your search."
LOL who would remain "enthusiastic" about Axiom Zen after getting this rejection letter?? I'm 95% sure they made me do free work for them (cutting up a PNG mockup into a responsive layout). It's also pretty weird how people from this company followed me on GitHub and added me on LinkedIn. Iâve interviewed at many places and axiom zen still remains one of the worst. As they admitted in the email, their process took literal weeks even though they were a small startup at the time. Maybe theyâve changedâŚbut probably not!
