I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Axios in May 2021
Interview
the process was pretty long and sounds like a lot, but it was really refreshing and laid back compared to most arbitrarily difficult and high stress software engineering interviews.
there were a total of 5 rounds:
- phone call with the recruiter to go over my background and learn about the company
- background/behavioral interview with a manager
- take home test that consisted of 3 small coding challenges (not timed)
- a series of back to back interviews with 4 people on the team, there was 1 peer programming session and the rest were mostly background/behavioral questions
- behavioral interview with the director of engineering
after this i was asked to provide references, and i received an offer a few days later.

Question 1
the take home test had easy/medium leetcode style questions, the peer programming session involved parsing json and using REST APIs
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Axios in May 2021
Interview
Screen call, video call with engineer manager, tech challenge, 2hr back to back with various Tech employees, and finally a meeting with the Director of Engineering. Really good about keeping me informed and everyone I met was personable. The process did take 4ish weeks to hear back though.
