As part of the interview preparation, we had to prepare a 10-minute presentation. I put a lot of time into researching and preparing for this and was under the impression that it would form a large portion of the assessment, seeing as we'd been emailed lots of resources and advice about how to prepare. However, after I had presented this in the interview, I was asked no follow up questions and we immediately moved on to unrelated situational questions about the job. I strongly feel that they should either focus the technical interview more around our presentation or make it much shorter.
