Interview
It is normally conducted remotely on Zoom and typically BBC interviews are with senior editors/ journalists from different departments of the BBC. Generally you will be asked a series of of CV-based and situation based interview questions. These questions covered a range of topics, from previous journalism experience to understanding of the BBC's editorial guidelines and values. Usually your knowledge of both the news cycle and the company will be tested so preparation is a must. Demonstrate your skills in being able to pitch stories and critically analysing previous works of the area you are applying to work in.

CV-Based Questions: Can you walk us through your journalism background and highlight the key experiences that make you a suitable candidate for the role of a journalist at the BBC? Interview
Standard panel interviews which were mostly technical in nature. Was asked to prepare two tasks for two rounds of interviews. Process did, however, take nearly six months from application to final result.
Many stages. Application, then online test, and then video recording. Quite tricky, as you need to include every value into every aspect. Very easy to understand, and well to explain. You don’t get feedback sadly.

BBC interviews focus on BBC values and behaviours as well as essential transferable skills and experience for the role. There is also situational questions you need to answer and sometimes a prepared test depending in the job.
