      Technical Program Manager Interview

      Positive experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at BCLC (Vancouver, BC) in Apr 2025

      Interview

I had a very positive experience throughout the interview process for a Technical Program Manager role at BCLC. Step 1 – HR Screening: The process started with a 40-minute conversation with a Senior Talent Sourcing Specialist, who was incredibly clear and professional. We covered my background, the role’s expectations, and BCLC’s values (Respect, Integrity, Community). The conversation included both situational and behavioural questions and was handled with warmth and transparency. Step 2 – Panel Interview (Virtual): Next was a virtual panel interview with the hiring manager and a business partner. The discussion was well-structured and covered technical depth, stakeholder alignment, and leadership experience. They made space for thoughtful dialogue, and the interview wrapped up 15 minutes early with a positive tone. Step 3 – Final Interview (In-Person): I was invited to the Vancouver office for a one-hour in-person interview with the hiring manager and a peer TPM. This was a great opportunity to meet the team and engage in deeper conversations around delivery frameworks, team culture, and real-world challenges. Everyone I met was friendly, respectful, and professional. Post-Interview: Although I wasn’t selected for the TPM role, the team personally called to update me and shared that I was being recommended for a different leadership opportunity. I really appreciated the respectful and transparent follow-up, especially the personal phone call, which is rare in today’s hiring environment. Overall: I would highly recommend interviewing with BCLC. The process was structured, fair, and thoughtful from start to finish. Whether or not you receive an offer, you are treated with genuine professionalism and respect throughout the journey.
