My resume was given to the Regional Manager by a friend who is a Branch Manager at another location. The Regional Investment Manager gave me a call and after a brief conversation we set up a time to meet for lunch. At the lunch he took a lot of notes and asked about my production numbers, number of clients, assets under management, etc. He told me that in my position, I would be working closely with the Premier Banker and working with clients that have assets of $250k-$1m. As we were leaving he asked my interest level in the position between 1 and 10. I told him a 7. A few days later he sent me an email stating he'd like me to meet 2 other representatives from the bank, the Premier Banking Manager and another Investment Rep who worked with clients that have assets of $1m+. We discussed the roles of the Premier Banker and how it integrated into my potential position. A few days after this meeting the Regional Investment Manager gave me a call and said he would like me to meet 3 more people; the Premier Banker, the Branch Manager and the Marketing Manager. I met the 3 representatives for coffee and they had lots of questions about how I could integrate my position with the Premier Bankers. The Marketing Manager asked how interested I was in the position on a scale of 1 to 10. I answered 10. A few weeks went by and I gave the Regional Investment Manager a call to check my status. He asked me if someone from HR had contacted me and I told him they had not. He told me that due to my amount of current production and inexperience of working with a banker, they would be pursuing other candidates.
