I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at BNSF Railway in Nov 2015
Interview
Interview was a short 30 minute interview. Hardly worth the trouble of the two day hiring process. First day, had a presentation about the company, took a behavioral test, and had dinner with employees. Process very formal, very nice presentation of the company, just surprised at how little they devote to you one on one, granted the one interview was thorough and efficient. Good experience. Absolutely worth it for undergrads searching for a job.
Hirevue Video Interview - A link was sent to my email and after I clicked it on the scheduled time I was asked basic questions about the job, including mechanical engineering basics and my ability to work in physical conditions
I applied online and several weeks later got a request to complete a recorded video interview. Several weeks after that I got an invitation to join a virtual information session and interview. The information session was about an hour-long then joined another information session specific to the department. Finished with the individual interview.
I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at BNSF Railway (Fort Worth, TX)
Interview
Test, phone interview, then 2 day hiring event in Fort Worth: first day they tell you about the company and what the job you're interviewing for is specifically and you take a personality test, then a dinner. Day two is a 2 person panel interview that is pretty relaxed. Be patient waiting after hiring event. They say you'll here either way in 2 weeks but it is much longer than that.
