      Software Engineer Interview

      1 Dec 2021
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BRYTER in Nov 2021

      Interview

I initially noticed the job posting on a remote working website, applied and moved on with the process. First step was a general discussion with the recruiting department, it was mostly a behavioral interview. Second step was a technical interview with two engineering leads, covering topics ranging from software architecture to unit testing best practises. It also involved a small demo of a handful of past projects I had worked with. Both interviews were conducted with a conversational / open-ended approach, and all the people involved seemed to be people I could genuinely see myself working with. All in all I would say it was an overwhelmingly positive experience. The last part was a cultural fit interview with a paritcular team however I accepted another offer that was in a later stage and had to cut the process short.

      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at BRYTER

      Interview

More or less standard interview process like in other tech companies. I don't like the fact that they changed process in the middle and introduced new steps and some of the information provided by HR was inaccurate in terms of how process will look like. All that gave me sense there is no real autonomy and consistency in how BRYTER is hiring. I got rejected after final step as company was in financial crises and froze hiring. Now I see other reviews where people were getting offers and after that getting fired at their first day at BRYTER.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

I was asked to prepare presentation about my technical experience
