HUGE TIME WASTER! AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
I had a horrible experience with this agency. Here's what happened to me.
The interview was held over a group zoom meeting where I was asked several questions about myself and my experience. Everyone seemed nice enough, and I thought it went well. Immediately following the interview, I was sent a writing assignment for final consideration. Usually, I have no problem sending in writing samples or even doing a small assignment to showcase my ability. The problem was that the document requested of me was a 1000-word article on a topic I knew nothing about. To make matters worse, I was only given a 24-hour deadline, which I felt was cruel and unjust. Still, I wanted the job, so I spent the remainder of my afternoon/evening putting together this article. The research and time combined was about several hours of unpaid work.
I sent my assignment in the next morning, before the deadline, and Jill confirmed that she received it. And that was it. I never heard back from them again. I couldn't believe how quickly I was dismissed and forgotten. Especially after doing all of that work for them. I didn't even expect a phone call, but a simple rejection letter would have sufficed. I'm shocked at the complete disregard for my time.
Hey BSTRO, don't ask applicants for 1000 word articles and then ghost them after they complete free work for you. Have a little respect.
