I interviewed for a Document Control Specialist role at BUBS Naturals in Summer 2025 and was told early in the process that I was a top candidate. Unfortunately, the experience quickly became confusing and disheartening. Despite having over a decade of directly relevant experience, I was later told I “wouldn’t transition well” into what was essentially an entry-level role. There was no explanation or constructive feedback to support that claim, just a vague comment that felt coded and dismissive.
The overall interview experience also felt rushed and impersonal. The conversation started late, ended abruptly at the 30-minute mark, and left me feeling like my time and candidacy weren’t valued. At one point, members of the interview team openly discussed other applicants and even shared personal details about someone’s career plans. That raised serious questions for me about confidentiality and professionalism throughout the hiring process.
In the end, the experience left me disappointed, misled, and questioning the integrity of the team’s approach to hiring. This job market is incredibly challenging, and how companies treat candidates has a real impact on people’s mental and emotional well-being. A little care, consistency, and respect would go a long way.
