The interview process was fairly straightforward and focused on evaluating core musicianship skills. It included assessing instrument proficiency, basic music reading abilities, and overall playing technique, as well as a review of fundamental music theory concepts to ensure a solid foundational understanding.

The process took about a week. Phone call screening followed by an in-person interview a few days later. In the in-person interview they asked me about my music background, why I'm interested in teaching, if I had any prior teaching experience, among other music education related questions. It was then followed by a very short music performance with my instrument.
