I applied online. I interviewed at Baker Hughes (Kazakhstan) in Mar 2026
Interview
It was an online interview on the HireVue platform. First, a question would appear, then there was a 30-second preparation period, I think, and then the camera would turn on. There were at least five questions like that, and I had to answer each one briefly, in 1–2 minutes. The questions weren’t technical but behavioral—about motivation, STAR-type questions. It was my first time doing something like this, so the reason might have been that I got too nervous and couldn’t clearly explain my motivation.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
There were various questions designed to test stress tolerance and motivation; I’ve heard these are also used to assess HSE understanding. For example, “Tell us about a time when you demonstrated leadership” or “Tell us about a time when you solved a complex technical problem.” If English isn’t your first language, I think it’s worth paying attention to this as well.
Chilled. Two interviewers - one technical and one HR. It was basically behavioral and getting to know you as a person. Just be yourself and dig into your life before the interview and find moments where you did things
