I applied through a recruiting company who put my resume in themselves. I was then set up with a phone interview to speak to someone who would not be interviewing me for my qualifications in the role, but rather if I would be a cultural fit. The conversation went really well and she was very easy to talk to. However, they did not move forward in the process with me because she was concerned that I was laid off from my previous position. This was a bit disconcerning because I had expressed that the reason for the layoffs was due to a restructure in the company and on the phone she seemed to be really understanding of the situation and talked to me about how she had been in that position before. At the end of the conversation I felt very positive about it. Especially since I already have a strong relationship with a good majority of their clients.
