I wanted to like this company because "HR" is supposed to be friendly. I have talked to one recruiter and I never felt so awkward, she doubted me from the get-go and asked obvious questions, such as "What do you mean by ... ?". It was probably her tone or she wasn't having a good day but I would remember that is the most awkward interview I ever had.
I applied online. The process took 6 weeks. I interviewed at BambooHR
Interview
I heard after about 4 weeks I was in the top 12 of over 200 applicants for the position. I then had a video/remote interview with the Executive Creative Director. I was told the next steps would be an interview with the Creative Team. The Executive Creative Director never followed up with me after the initial interview (which was about 4 weeks into the hiring process from the time I was offered an interview). I emailed to follow up and didn’t even get a “thanks but we moved in another direction” response. For a company that prides themselves in being top of the industry in HR, I felt like this was telling of company culture. In the end, it wouldn’t have been a good fit. I have landed at an amazing company that values my personal time, and talents. Something that could be improved upon with the hiring process at BambooHR.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Most the questions were design focused. There was no “creative test” asking for free work so that was one plus of the process.
